The Evans/MacTavish Fan is of the centrifugal exhauster design. It consists of an impeller housing and a support housing which supports the impeller bearings and drive components.

The impeller housing is rotatable and reversible to suit any installation situation.

The Fan also comes in a direct drive configuration which eliminates the need for bearings. In this configuration, the impeller is mounted directly to the motor shaft.

The standard impeller is the paddle type. A more efficient enclosed rotor impeller is also available.
